While in graduate school I was blessed with opportunities to meet many amazing people and I am so fortunate that one of them became a lifelong friend. Not only is Erin a cheerleader of my crafty goals, she also wears my work with unabashed pride. That’s what I love about her–when she’s proud of someone, she lets the entire world know.
After knitting her a cowl in a simple moss stitch* (click here for pattern inspiration) with Plymouth Yarn’s Baby Alpaca Grande in a gorgeous gray laced with silver, she kindly requested matching fingerless gloves. Together we found this hand-warmer pattern which combines variations of the moss stitch along with the basic stockinette stitch–a lovely combination to complement her cowl.
And soon enough, this dear friend who warms my heart will have warm hands, too!
*On occasion, my pug Watson serves as a model for my work. He’s accommodating like that.
